On Thursday, March 23, at 10:30 a.m., a large gathering of Philadelphia media outlets, national foundation donors including from PetSmart Charities and Tito’s Vodka, elected officials, dozens of business and community leaders, animal welfare leaders, and Emancipet neighbors and clients will celebrate the opening of the new clinic. The hour-long event will include a 15-minute program featuring a high-level city official, Emancipet’s national CEO Amy Mills, and a representative of the PetSmart Charities Foundation, whose $450,000 donation helped open the new clinic, which will provide low- and no-cost veterinary services including spay/neuter surgery in Northeast Philadelphia.
Following the brief program will be media interviews, photo opportunities with participants and pets, tours of the clinic, and refreshments.
In addition to anticipated local media coverage, a crew from the New York Times will be present, and a news release featuring photos and quotes from the event will be distributed nationally including via BusinessWire, which guarantees media coverage on dozens of national news websites.
