Ribbon Cutting – Grand Opening of the K&T Trail: Phase One

Phase 1 construction of the Kensington-Tacony (K&T) trail segment is nearing completion. This portion of the trail extends 1.2 miles from the Frankford Boat Launch to Magee Avenue, passing through Lardner’s Point Park. The 12-foot wide multi-use trail features the addition of eighty trees, one thousand shrubs, and two new acres of new meadow, along with a new bridge over Wissonoming Creek. A ribbon cutting event to celebrate the opening of this portion of the Greenway is scheduled at the Frankford Boat Launch for Monday, May 15th at 1pm.
