The cultural history of Mayfair is rich, diverse, and full of innovation. On April 14, 2018, the Mayfair Business Improvement District intends to honor the creative voices and individuals that make our community thrive by co-hosting our First Annual Mayfair Spring Arts Festival. Kindly find the attached flyer and details about the event are below: We will close Frankford Avenue from Princeton to Tyson Avenues, and begin with a press conference with Councilman Booby Henon and the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program to announce several mural projects in development for our area. We will then have kick-off a festival to highlight all aspects of the Arts, from painting, performance, sculpting, tattoo art, music, floral arrangements, and live demonstrations. In fact, Jay Pross, owner/operator of Art History 101 will be painting a car! There will be eclectic food and beverage to enjoy, and face-painting for the kids. The cost is free and we welcome our participants to sell their pieces. Set up begins at 11:00 a.m. Thanks so much, and we look forward to a great event. When you think of the Arts…….Make it Mayfair!
