GNPCC Nonprofit Summit
In partnership with The Nonprofit Center at La Salle University's School of Business
This event is designed to answer the fundamental question of “What do for-profit companies want from nonprofit partners?” With nonprofits doing important work in their communities, it’s those organizations that are able to address that question skillfully and emphatically while creating mutually beneficial relationships. As corporate philanthropy has changed in recent years, with countless corporate mergers and restructuring and emphasis on employee engagement, it is increasingly essential for nonprofits who are seeking connections with businesses to change and adapt their approaches and offerings.
We will be joined by five corporate representatives who will share their experiences collaborating with nonprofit organizations. They will share the factors that are important to them in selecting a partner and what they expect. Along the way, we’ll better understand where nonprofits may go wrong in their pursuit of corporate partnerships, the role of brand alignment, the importance of doing your homework, what is reasonable to expect from both parties and how to design the relationships so that they work to the benefit of both parties.
